Vision, Ethics, and Approach
Vision
My vision for Prism Physical Therapy is to provide the opportunity for my patients to not only receive quality healthcare, but to also educate them about the many facets of their health. Having a greater understanding can lead to empowerment, thus giving the people I see more independence.
Ethics
My ethics are simply this: treat everyone with respect for their entire being. Your history matters, where you are at currently matters, and where you are headed matters. I strive to be present for each of these stages so that you may be seen for who you are and what you need.
Approach
My approach is to appreciate all aspects of healthcare. While I am licensed to provide physical therapy, I will also recommend other types of therapy and treatment as the need arises. I believe in being honest and open about what I am seeing, and from there providing options for my patients to explore to further help them along their health journey.Â
When treating my patients, I draw from my formal education, professional experience, and my intuition. Utilizing all three of these elements, I am able to better understand the patient's health needs rather than relying on statistics or an algorithm.
I recognize that many people have had unpleasant experiences in the healthcare system, and have suffered trauma from this. I strive to ensure my patients feel safe, heard, and understood (regardless of ethnicity, gender identity, sexuality, ability, or other intersectional identities) when working with me.
