Happy New Year 2026!
Happy New Year everyone! I am back to blogging after a long dry spell of writing inspiration and creativity. I spent that time reflecting and working on strategies for writing more, and I am feeling refreshed in my writing again.
There are so many ways of spreading ideas, whether it’s through TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, the newspaper, a text, a written letter, or a blog post. Or many others. I explored many of these ideas thinking that I needed to find a “better format” than blogs due to the limited reach this format has. But they all fell flat for me. I couldn’t find the desire or energy to convey my thoughts and feelings in a way that felt meaningful to me. Writing kept tugging at my heart though, and it was good to spend some time away from it to realize that.
With that said, I am back to blogging, and I look forward to writing about new research, topics relevant to my practice, personal insight, and even some personal stories.
Another update to note is that I am now cultivating a specialty in my practice. This is more than my fascial work, this is a mentorship program. I am expanding the education aspect of my care and providing guidance on navigating our healthcare system, patient self-advocacy, how the body works, and navigating chronic illness. The mentorship program is geared towards those who need longer-term guidance through their health journey. I will combine this education with my fascial work and exercises as is appropriate to the patient’s needs. I will also provide recommendations of other treatments to explore, including specific practitioners of these treatments. I know how hard it is to find the right care and how to even make a choice of what to do next. My purpose for this program is to cut down on the time needed to find a path while also limiting frustration and confusion. This is a great opportunity for anyone seeking empowerment in their health.
I also want to share that this mentorship program isn’t just for those who are needing treatment, it is also for those who are caregivers. With insurance rules constantly changing, and often without clear definitions or warning, it is challenging for caregivers to know how to help their loved ones. Education to caregivers is also limited, and is often left up to being learned through trial and error. This is both dangerous and costly. I am here to provide support to anyone who is needing help with: finding specialists, guidance on caregiving duties (such as body mechanics or accessibility modifications), navigating insurance, and self-care as a caregiver.
Finally, I have made some big changes to my website and the information it provides. Please explore its pages to learn new info on resources, my speciality, and my FAQ.
I look forward to what 2026 has in store for my practice and me, and I am excited to be working with this amazing community.
Be well,
Gina
